• The FDA lists it as generally recognized as safe (GRAS) for its intended use in food (21 CFR 184.1033).¹
• The Joint FAO/WHO Expert Committee on Food Additives recorded its acceptable daily intake as “not limited,” the designation used for additives of very low toxicity.²
